cLPMUD is an emacs-based client. It worked well with the old 2.4.5 mudlib style LPmuds, because it allowed wizards to upload/download code directly into an emacs buffer. It also has other hacks like not displaying your password when you type it, but it relies heavily on received strings (i.e. "Password: ", and the format of the 'more' command) to do its work. The copy of cLPMUD that exists here is probably very old. It does not work very well with emacs-19. If a better copy exists that you know about (that perhaps includes more documentation), please upload it into /pub/mud/incoming and send mail to . If someone would like to revise it or rewrite it, I'd welcome you to do so, respecting the original author's work, of course.
