A word about private MUDs: If you don't want in known about and on the list, I understand, but I don't see that you need to worry. You can simply go to pcreate and have people mail for a character. You can turn down whomever, saying "Right now, this MUD is a private one and we'd rather keep the # of players as it is" and let that be the end of it. I have nothing against private MUDs, but in the interests of completeness I'd like to list them. But this is all IMHO. I respect your right to keep the MUD private. Please, if you know of a MUD I list which is *gone* or moved, let me know. Also, if there is one I did not list, let me know. Note that under NAME I include only the "official" name of the MUD (e.g. what you are told when you log in) so "TestMUD" is listed under "TinyMUSH" and "The OTHER MUD" is under "Islandia" and so on. Also, before you send me about a MUD, please *check* it yourself first to make sure it still exists and/or is up by logging in and talking to the Wizards/Tinkers/Whathaveyou. I don't want a bunch of email about BloodMUD, TinyMUD, etc. Some MUDs I have no idea what their "official" name is and have put down the best indicator I have.
