Races of DBSOS
Although we currently share the space number of, or even the same races as other DragonBall Z muds, Dragon Ball Saga Old School have great plans for the year 2005 and
are aiming to implement never seen before races with completely original code and new
features. Our current races are:
Human: Not always the underdog.
Humans in DBZ and GT were never the strongest or even the smartest of warrior. And yet Krillin, Yamcha, Tien and even little Chiaoutzu have followings. Here humans have abilties like spirit ball and "hyper" to help them keep up with the rest.
Saiyan: Kakarot and the vegetables.
Saiyans were, with the exception of DragonBall, the leading race in the later two series and shown they had both battle smarts and the best techniques around. Although they aren't as adept at increasing thier powerlevle, they're signature super saiyan levels one to four and gallic gun attacks are unrivalled. Examples of saiyans would be Goku, Vegeta and Raditz.
Halfbreeds: They aren't mystic but they're cool!
Though the term halfbreed could be referring to a hybrid of any two races, here it's used to refer to a half-human half-saiyan mix of blood. Gohan, Goten and Trunks were all halfbreeds in DBZ. They gain fast and hit hard at times, quite a favoured race.
Nameks: Green and often mean.
This peace loving race may prefer meditation and village life to fighting, but you'll find many namekians have chose the path of the warrior and used techniques like Split-Form and Heaven Splitter Cannon to obliterate those who oppose them. Piccolo would be proud of his race.
Icers: Merciless...
For those of you unfamiliar with DragonBall Z, the race of icers can be identified from Frieza, his brother Cooler and thier father King Cold. These menacing foes come from planet Furiza. They focus on techniques that can often instantly kill thier opponent, making these creatures feared.
Android: Mechanical Mayhem!
There were many of these, though the most infamous are #17 and #18 and to a lesser extent Dr. Gero. These metallic clad warriors rely on chips to increase thier power level substanial amounts they also posess amazing techniques like the energy draining absorb and self-destruct ability. It may blow 'em up but it works!
Bio-Android: You could be thier next meal
In the show the race of Bio-android was a unique being named Cell, he became the perfect fighter through absorbing two androids, #17 and #18, and posessed techniques of all the Z-Fighters because he was made up of thier cells. Here at SOS, Bio-androids are player killing heavy and can only get techniques and transform into perfect beings through absorbing other players.
Kaios: Noble, Proud..Stopping time everywhere!
King Kai of the North Galaxy, Supreme Kai Shin and the Grand Kai were all of the race general race. Kaios were watchers of the universe and recently came down to our realm to prevent evil forces taking over. They posess amazing techniques including the abilities to create items and freeze an opponent.
Demons: Diabolically Evil and loving it.
Dabura and Garlic Junior to name a few. Creatures forged to the bone with evil and carnage in their hearts, they have come to Earth in an attempt to engulf the world in anarchy. But perhaps there is a rebel or two? Demons can create weapons from their very limbs and master powerful attacks fueled by the evil that comprises their being.
Genies: Mysterious Blob Monsters and CANDY!
The only Genie in all of DBZ/GT was Buu, but he had many forms and eventually split into two seperate people so it works out. Nobody can quite agree on where Genies come from or even what they are, but all Genies seem to have in common their love for candy and their ability to turn people into it. Besides their candy-morphing abilities, Genies have a deadly assortment of attacks including the fabled Super Ghost Kamikaze.
