******************************* OGHAM 2 **********************************

Current version: 2.7.0 (See CHANGELOG for changes from last version)

Introduction
------------
This version has been substantially overhauled and news bits have been
added. Unfortunately this has resulted in user data files being incompatible
with older versions. Since no one seems to use this mud system anyway and I
appear to be writing it for myself ... I don't give a toss :)
I have also written a completely new mudlib which shows you how to do all
the standard things you need to do in a mud such as coding items & npcs
(non player characters , or monsters to you ;) , rooms (including doors),
guilds and a ship.
If there are any bugs or ommisions in this distribution it is regrettable
but not unexpected as there are roughly 14,000 lines of code in total here.
If you do find any please email me and I will will put a fix in the next
release.

Getting started
---------------
This mud system is only for those who are competant C programmers. Sure you
can compile and run the mud as is but you'll soon want more and unless you
know what you're doing you may be in for a hard time trying to expand the
mudlib as it is written in C and compiles in with the server code etc to form
a single binary executable.

Once you have compiled the mud (see DOCS about this) type "go" which is a
a short shell script and the mud will automatically run itself as a background
process. Log into the mud using the test login: username "fred" ,
password "test" and you will be given god priviledges.
A god is currently level 22 though this can be changed by changing the
macros. (wizards are level 20 , arch wizards level 21).
Some objects are created in the mud on startup , other you can clone
yourself once in the mud. Type "masters" for a full list of objects available
then type "clone <object_name>" to create the object in your current room.
Type "help commands" for a list of commands. The "wizdata" command will show
you the object and room numbers whenever you do a look.

Copyright etc
-------------

This software is copyright to me (Neil Robertson). It may be altered to suit
your specific needs but please remember the original copyright is mine and
also PLEASE note any modifications in the "version" command. This is so I don't
get bug reports for code that is nothing to do with me.

If you have any genuine problems or bugs email me, but I DO NOT want email
telling me how you don't like the code and how I should alter it or anything
along those lines. If you don't like it alter it yourself but don't blame me
if it goes wrong.

Anyway , thats about it. Go and read the stuff in the DOCS directory and
have fun :)
